About me

My professional and life experience in South Korea, Germany, and Belgium makes me an ideal mediator between European and Asian business cultures.
For almost 20 years I have been conducting intercultural training and consulting in European countries and Korea.
In this capacity, I have advised numerous renowned European and Korean companies in the automotive, automotive supply, home appliance, software, and chemical industries, as well as the renewable energy sector – including in Korea.
My work has equipped executives with the necessary knowledge for assignments in Korea, facilitated the adaptation issues of Korean staff in German companies, prepared teams for the collaboration with Korean colleagues.
My expertise focuses on training executives who wish to prepare or deepen professional contacts with Koreans, as well as on coaching employees negotiating with Koreans. This also includes conflict resolution and mediation.
I was born and raised in South Korea. I studied and earned my doctorate there and in Germany. In both countries, I have participated in research projects on mediation and intercultural communication, published several articles, and given numerous lectures. As a lecturer at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, I shared my insights with students over many years.
I am a member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education and Research)
